All of our plans are backed by straightforward terms and conditions of service and designed to meet customers' individual needs. Maryland Energy prices do no include distribution charges and other charges.

Variable Plan - Residential
With our Variable Plan (Residential), gas service is billed at a price per therm that may change or stay the same each month based on market conditions. No long-term commitment is required with our Variable Plan. There is no limit on how much the price per therm may change from one billing cycle to the next. July 2020 Variable plan standard rate (residential) is $0.569.
12-Month Fixed Plan - Residential
This fixed price plan gives you the peace of mind of knowing exactly what you will pay for the gas you use over the 12 month period. If you choose our 12-Month Fixed Plan, you will be billed at a fixed price per therm for the length of your contract. This plan requires a 12-month contract. Early termination charges apply for fixed price plans ($100/$50). July 2020 12-Month Fixed plan standard rate (residential) is $0.519.
6-Month Fixed Plan - Residential
This fixed price plan gives you the peace of mind of knowing exactly what you will pay for the gas you use over the 6 month period. If you choose our 6-Month Fixed Plan, you will be billed at a fixed price per therm for the length of your contract. This plan requires a 6-month contract. Early termination charges apply for fixed price plans ($50). July 2020 6-Month Fixed plan standard rate (residential) is $0.499.
Variable Plan with a discount - Residential
The Variable Plan with a discount - for new Maryland Energy residential customers only - has a guaranteed savings of at least 20% off of Maryland Energy's Variable Plan at the standard price for the first two months of service. This plan does not require a long-term commitment - you can change to another plan at any time with no early termination charge! Upon expiration of the discount, customers will remain on our Variable Plan with service at the standard rate in effect at that time. Variable rate may change or stay the same each month based on market conditions. There is no limit on how much the price per therm may change from one billing cycle to the next.
